The Quiet Landscape

‘David Tatnall’s intimate knowledge of the landscape and of the photographic process imparts a unique visual language to these images. The photographs show remarkable control of natural light. The large format camera is David's long term companion and the depth of vision manifested in these photographs is the result of years of contemplation of the bush through the camera's lens.

David transforms his quiet appreciation and understanding of the landscape into these beautiful traditional hand-made black and white photographs, allowing us the opportunity to share this vision.

The Quiet Landscape is both as simple and as complex as nature itself.’
